The Merrell Pantheon Sport GORE-TEX shoes are designed for the active person who chooses the outdoors instead of the gym. This shoe offers lightweight and technically advanced design that stays true to Merrell's outdoor heritage. The athletic last on the Pantheon makes these ideal for fast paced outdoor adventures. The upper consists of a strobel construction that offers both flexibility and comfort combined with a synthetic leather and mesh construction. The Bellows tongue keeps debris out whilst GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining protects the feet from the elements. Breathable mesh lining treated with Aegis antimicrobial solution that maintains foot comfort along with an Ortholite Anatomical footbed. Midsole features a moulded nylon arch shank with compression moulded EVA footframe for extra cushioning. Merrel air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability. 5mm Sole lug depth with Vibram pantheon sole with sticky rubber.

Second pair of Merrells - first pair (Moab) very comfortable but for some reason there is a stitching line at the inside right rear of the shoe which persistently rubs - very annoying as otherwise extremely comfortable. These Pantheons dont seem to rub in the same place but not quite as comfortable overall - but still good. Can't comment on the gtx yet as not tried in wet.
